Her conununity activities - mdude her work with the 1- Amencan Cancer Socie ty. - For the past four years sh e has captained a Relay for Life team in Meridian and helped raise over $400,000.

has over 17 years experi– ence as a registered nurse. She most recently served a s a staff nurse at Lackey Hospital in Forest. She is also a former school nurse for Newton Public Schools. She is a former sponsor of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and 'has been associated with various extracurricular ac– tivities including the Mis– sissippi Diabetes Associa– tion, the Chip Program and the Mississippi School Nurse Association. A Newton High School graduate, Luke received an associate in science degree from ECCC and a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is married to Keith Luke and they have two daughters, Morgan, seven, and Maggie, four.
