These former student-athletes at East Central Community College in Decatur were named Notional Junior College Athletic Assoctotion Academic All-Americans for the 2000-2001 college term. Recipients of the prestigious honor must hove participated in at least one major sport recognized by the NJCAA and hove a cumulative grade point overage of 3 6 or better on o 4 0 scale Those named Distinguished Academic All-Americans hove a 3.8 GPA or above. Award recip– ients must also complete at least 45 semester hours of coursework Honorees and their respective sports areas include (from left) fast pttch softball team member Ashley Jones (Distinguished) of Forest, tennis player Brandy Burnett (Distinguished) of louisville, basketball team member Chris Webb (Distinguished) of Neshoba Central High School and tennis player Kristi Moore of Noxapater Not pictured is tennis player Kasey Comons (Distinguished) of Newton County Academy.
