A 'CLASSIC' PERFORMAi'~CE - Guitarist Chas Evans of Chunky was a featured performer during a concert recently held in Vio·er:. Fine Arts Center oo the ECCC campus. Evans a 1999 EC graduate, performed numerQus classical selections during the special program. While a student at East Central. Evans participate din musical productions and was a member of various groups ind'fding the Colle– gians and Jazz band. He was a student of Thomas W. Carson, d irector of bands and music tnstructor. Evans is currently a senior at the l!niHrsit) of Southern Mississippi where he has been awarded numerous honors. The accomplished mu– sician will recet\ e a bachelor's degree of music perfofll.lance from USM this summer. He also plans to pursue a master's degree from US:'\1, during which time he will serve as a graduate assistant to Professor Giovanni Dechiaro, his pre– sent guitar instructor.
