Lathem Presented Harris Alumni Award

Skip Lathem. superintendent of Forest Municipal Schools, is this year's reciptent of the Shelby Harris Alumni Award. which was presented at the 2003 spring induction ceremo– ny of~ta Xi Chapter, the interna– tional honor society of the two-year college, at East Central Community College in Decatur. Lathem, a Sebastopol native and graduate of ECCC and Mississiwi State University, received the honor from ECCC staff member Martha Sibley. \\ho serves as president of the Theta Xi Alumni Chapter. In making the presentation, Sibley praised Lathem for his "outstanding and continuing support of academic excellence to the Theta Xi Chapter... Dr. Hanis, who died last year, was a longtime ECCC math instructor and Theta Xi Chapter advisor.
