PARTICIPATE IN MUSIC COMPETITION... East Central Community College freshmen Caleb Cook (left) and Carl Wilson, b_oth graduates of Newton County High School, recently participated in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Southern Region Vocal Auditions at the University of Southern Mississippi In Hattiesburg. During the competi– tion, students are categorized according to age and number of semesters of voice studied. Both students advanced to the semifinal round. East Central vocal Instructor Ross Price said, "Approximately 65 students participated in 1 their category and only four made it to the finals. This Is a great effort on their part and speaks highly of their dedication to the art of singing. Cook and Wilson will compete in state auditions which will bL held at Mississippi College In March.
