ECEC donates to beautification project
The East Central Community College Environmental Club (ECEC) recently made a $1 10 donation to the living lands & Waters Restoration Fund. The fund, initiated by Chad Pregracke of East Moline, Illinois, was developed to clean up the Mississippi River and its shoreline. Since 1997, Pregracke and his crew have cleaned up over 900 miles of shoreline and collected over 400,000 pounds of trash. In 1999, the group started the Adopt-A-Mississippi River Mile program.
