ECCC Collegians to perform in New York May 28 The Collegians, East Central Community College's pop/rock vocal and instrumental group, will represent the College and Mississippi as they take on the "Big Apple" May 28. "This will be the eleventh year the group has been invited to perform nationally," said Thomas W. Carson, director. "After sailing to the Bahamas last year, I didn't think we would get another big break the follow– ing year, but here we are repre– senting ECCC in such an excit– ing venue as New York!" he added. The Collegians will perform at 2 p.m. at the South Street Seaport in downtown New York City. Members of the group include Dustin Burton, Jason Gaines, Lucas Majure, Chris Carson, Josh Sanders and Robert Savell, all of Decatur; Beckie Fulton and Craig McRae, both of Carthage; Amber Gainer, Nicki Peden, Jason Wallace and Ryan Woodard, all of Louisville; Ashley Byram of LaCenter, Ky.; Mark Eakes. Joshua Black, Brittany Bane. Nathan Shaw, Jason Alford and Adam Mann, all ofPhiladelphia; Frazier Wash of Forest; and Andy Murphy of Meridian.
Burroughs receives ECCC award
