He was named to the All Region 23 and A 11- State squads, and was selected East Central's outstanding of– fensive player. Jamie Clark, ECCC head baseball coach, said Pinson is "most deserving" of the acco– lades he has received. "I am very proud of Toby for being able to extend his aca– demic and baseball career. He had an opportunity to sign with larger colleges but he made a mature decision and decided to go to a place where they have a solid and upcoming program. He should be able to make an immediate impact at Hender– son State/' Clark said. Clark added, "Toby was one of the hardest workers en our team and we never had to be concerned about him an any way - academics, citizenship or Cl'\ the field. He was always a good representative of East Central Community College."

Although he was member of the East Central Community College bas~ball team for just one season, outfielder Toby Pin– son of Little Rock certainly made his mark as a Diamond Warrior. Pinson, a transfer from Meridian Community College, led East Central in hitting and received various honors follow– ing the 2000 campaign.
