Cheerleaders chosen, tennis underway at EC Football and basketball

Central Lady Warriors who are 2-0, while the Warriors are 1-1. The 2000 campaign began on February 18 With the EC women blanking visiting Holmes 9-0 and the men win– ning by a 7-2 score. Lady Warriors who regis– tered wins in singles competi– tw!l included Haley Chance, Courtney Cooper, Jessica Weeks, April Foley, Kasey Comans and Kristi French. Warriors who won their.sin– gles competition were Lee Dempsey, Josh McNeill, Wade Hutchison, Tracy Goodin and Tim Cager. The Lady Warriors defeated Pearl·River 6-3 while the men fell 8-1 in compet ition held February 24 in Poplarville. Singles \vinners were (women) Chance, Cooper and French, and (men) Dempsey. Winners in women's doubles competition were Chance and Foley. Weeks and Comans, and Cooper and French.
