ECCC Lady Warriors Fall To Gulf Coast in State Fina,ls
The lady Bulldogs of Missis– stppi Gulf Coast Community College continued theu post– season domin~ce of the East Central Commuruty College \\omen by claiming a 71-64 win Tuc..day night in the finals of the MACJC State Tournament ho::.ted by Northeast Mtssis- ippi Community College in Booneville. Gull Coast (24-6), which lost
both regular season contests to the Lady Warriors (19 9) ear– lier ralhed for a 101-91 over– time victory over FC in the fi– nals of the South Division Tournament held oo the Utica campus of Hinds Community College. Nicole Cox of Lake scored 17 points and led East Central in the state championship matchup. Other scorers were Margo Porter of Louts\'ille and Tonya· Moncrief of Newton, 10 each; Becky Killen of Seb1ls– topol and Anna Udicova of Presov, Slovokia, nine each; Sasha Lilly of Columbiana, Alabama, seven; and Tesha Crockett of Philadelphia, two. Felicia Hayes of Gulfport had 20 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. East Central held a 32-31 advantage at half-time.
