Mott to display artwork during ECCC Homecoming

East Centr~l CommunityCol– lege alumnus Mike Matt (Class of 1981) will present his ~rtwork during Homecoming festivities scheduled October 7 on the Decatur campus. The exhibit will be on display in the Ovid S. Vickers Fine Arts Center through the month ofOctober, accord– ing to Bruce Guraedy, Chairmanofthe Fine Arts Division and art instructor. The display will include a variety ofsurrealistic, science fiction and fantasy images created in a wide range of media, but with a predomi– nance of computer generated images or computer graphics. There will pos– sibly be some sculptures and graph– ite piect>_ in the shn ].f F•btt is c:eative director for MPI Snf ware T ::dmology, a high-

performance software company. He is also a free-lance artist and writes both fic,tion and non-fiction. He has worked as an artist/designer for Fortune 500 companies, for an NSF Engineering Research Center, and for a variety of free-lance clients. His artwork has appeared in numerous publications such as Computer Graphics World Magazine, Computer Artist and IEEE Computer. He has also created art– work and graphic design for mass– mar~t book covers, posters, bro– chures and CD-ROM covers and has won several design awards. Matt and his wife, Melissa, have four children: Heather, 16; Audrey, 14; Matthew, 12; and Ryan, 6.
