ECCC to honor McMullans A reception honoring East Central Commumty College retirees Lois and Raymond McMullan will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21 , in the Gold Room of Mabry Cafeteria. Mrs. McMullan has taught mathematics at the College since 1970. She also served as instruc– tor for the Phi Theta Kappa Leadership Development Class and was sponsor of Mu Alpha Theta, an organization for students excelling in mathematics. In addition, she served the past year as chairman of the mathematics division. Mr. McMullan, who began his employment at ECCC in 1968, has served the past 14 years~ as Director of Admissions, Records and Research. He previously served as acade– mic counselor and worked in the financial aid area. He also organized and served as the first sponsor of the Warrior Corps, a select group of students who assist in recrUiting and serve as hosts and hostesses for various events and activities. In addition, Mr. McMullan is com– pleting his second stint as chairman of the College's Self-Study process, which the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools requires every 10 years in order for the college to maintain its accred– itation. In all, the McMullans have devoted almost 80 years of service to the field of education
