EC teams enCI regular season

EC trailed 43-33 at the break. In games played Monday, Feb. 8, East Central teams split decisions with homestand– ing Hinds Community College. The Lady Warriors held on for a 77-75 victory while the Warriors were outscored 92-84.

The East Central women were led in scoring by Tonya Moncrief's 25 points. Other scorers were Mapp, 24; Temple, 10; Murray, seven; Courtney, five; Williams and Sonya Pinkston, four each; and Brown and Lyles, two each. The Lady Warriors held a 41-37 halftime advantage. In the men's game, Mingo led the Warrior offensive attack with 19 points. Also scoring were Bowie, 18; Russell, 14; Waddell, 10; Bell, seven; Wallace, six; Jones, five; McDougle, three; and Tangle, two. EC trailed 41-36 at the half. Both EC squads began the south tournament this week.
