East Central Community College's women's tennis team placed f:tfth in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College's State/Region 23 Tennis Tournament held in 'fupelo. The Lady Warriors totaled five points in the annual Com– petition, which was won by Copiah-Lincoln with 28 points. Second place was Hinds with 26 points, third was Itawamba, 22; Jones was
fourth, 15; EC was fifth.
East Central's highest seed– ed players were Haley Chance and Lisa Chesney, who ranked fourth in their respective sin– gles divisions and were also the fourth seeded doubles team. Other members of the Lady Warriors squad included Huellen Nutt, Heather War– ren, Krisi French and Court– ney Cooper. The Lady Warriors were coached by Jay Bowen.
