Students interested in applying for t he Hudspet h Scholarship must attend a public, private or h ome– school in Winston County; have a min– imum of a "C" -or '"C+" average; have definable career gOQls and plans; and demonstrate a need for financial assis– tance. The first scholarship will be award– ed in the 1999 fall semester.

He served on ECCC's board of trustees for 28 years, and he is cur– rently serving a 6-year term as vice– chairman of the State Board for Com– munity and Junior Colleges.
