Dotzauer, Mitchell Selected Mr. a:rtd Miss ECCC

Uwe Dotzauer of Landau, Germany, and Ragan Mitchell of Nanih Waiya were recently selected Mr. and Miss East Central Community College. The two were selected by a vote of the student body. Dotzauer, who is the first foreign student selected for this honor, is a sophomore liberal arts major. He is a member of the ECCC !ennis Team and the Environmental Club and was en the committee · for the International World Literature Banquet. Dotzauer serves as a manager for the . men's basketball team and designed the web page for both the men's and women's basketball squads. For the past two years he was a member of the men's doubles championship team in the annual Alumni/Student Tennis Tournament held during Homecoming and he was presented the Warrior tennis team's ~ost improved player award in 1998. A Dean's List scholar, Dotzauer is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for the two-year college, where he serves as treasurer. major, Mitchell is a member of the Lady Warrior softball team and was selected an All– Region 23 pitcher her freshman year. She is also a member of Students Against Drunk Driving, Sigma Sigma Mu Tau (the Medical Oub), Mu alpha Theta (math club) and She serves as vice president of the Student Body Association and was .selected freshman class vice. president. Mitchell is a member of the Warrior Corps, a select group of students who assist in recruiting and serve as hosts for various campus events, and serves as reporter for Phi Theta Kappa. A President's L"ist scholar, Mitchell was selected a sophomore homecoming maid and was named to who's who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. Dotzauer is the son of Hans and Waltraud Dotzauer of Landau, Germany. Mitchell is . the daughter of Robin Grego!J' of Philadelphia.
