FOR ERI CURREI T ECCC BASEBALL PLAYERS SELECTED IN DRAFT A current member ot the East Central Community College baseball team and a former Diamond Warrior standout were among players recently drafted by major league squads. Jason Willis of Philadelphia, a 6'4" 220-pound right– handed pitcher who recently completed his freshman sea– son, was chosen in the 24th round by the New York Yan– kees. The Neshoba Central graduated posted a 9-3 mark this past season for the state champion Diamond Warriors and had 13 home runs. Former Diamond Warrior Tommy Bost, who recently completed his senior year at Louisiana Tech, was also picked in the 24th round by the Cleveland Indians. Bost, a 6 '2". 220-pound outfielder, blasted 17 home runs this past season. He is also a former standout at eshoba Central High School in Philadelphia. Willis and Bost mark the eighth and ninth Diamond Warriors selected in the pro draft since Jamie Clark took over the ECCC baseball pro– gram in 1988.

Gressett inks with LA. Tech

DECATUR-East Central Com– munity College hurler Dan Gressett ofLake recently signed a national letterof intent to con– tinue his baseball career at Loui– siana Tech University at Ruston. At 6' 5'', 180 pounds. Gressett went 6-6 his freshman year and 9-2 his sophomore season. A first team All-State and All– Region selection. Gressett was

recruited by various Oi\ 1sron I and ll colleges in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Ten– nessee. He was tl1e fourth ECCG player to sign with Louisiana Tech in the last four years. Jamie Clark serves as head coach of the State Champion ECCC Diamond Warriors.
