SELECTED TO WHO'S WHQ AT ECCC - These Newton County students who attend East Central Community College in Decatur were recently named to Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. Students and their respective hometowns include (first row, from left) Kimberly Hollingsworth of Decatur, Celeste Staton of Union, Lori Darsey of Hickory, Jennifer Pace of Decatur and Tomi Mize of Newton; and (back row, from left) Cody fisher of Union, Neil Hansford of"Hickory and Christina Pearce and Derek Burton, both of Decatur. Students are selected~ for the prestigious publication on the basis of their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. Th,ey join an elite group of students from more than 1,800 institutions of higher learning in all SO states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.
