Cooper is scholarship recipient Courtney Cooper. a 1998 graduate of Forest High School, Is a recipi– ent of a Union Planters Bank Scholarship to attend East Central Com– munity College in Decatur. The outstanding student Is shown receiving the award from Kenneth Jones, president of the banking system's Decatur branch and Leon Harris, Newton branch president. Also pic– tured Is the award recipient's mother, Gwen Cooper of Forest Union Planters Bank provides annual scholarships to selected recipients from throughout the College's five-county district. The presentations were made at the College's annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon held on the ECCC campus.
