Receive Phi Theta Kappa honors , Various honors were presented to East Central Community College's Phi Theta Kappa chapter at the inter– notional honor society's annual conventton recenrty held in Nashville, Tennessee Theta Xi was one of only ten chapters to be awarded the Elchling and Fellowshtp Hallmark awards, and one of 25 recipients of the Distinguished Chapter Award. Overall pomrs earned by ECCC In the four hallmarks - Scholarships. leadership, SeNice and Fellowship - ranked Theta XIiWelfth among oil chapters participating in the Hallmark competition and first among organizations n tne Mississippi/louisiana region. Individual honors were pre– sented to Brion Show of Forest, Distinguished Chapter President Award; and Amy Spears of Lena, George 0. Bierkoe Distinguished Member Award. Only 25 awards in each category were presented this year.
