Louisville native named outstanding golfer East Central Community College golf team member Jason Hailey of l ouisvifle was recently named the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College's "Player of the Year" following 1998 competition. Hailey, who carded an average score of 75 dur– ing tournament play, was also an All-Region 23 and AU-State selection. In addition, he qualified to compete in the NJCAA Golf Tournament scheduled in June at Southern Pines, North Carolina. A sophomore, Hailey was also named the Warriors' most valuable player at the annual Spring Sports CookouVAwards Program held at Turkey Creek Water Park near Decatur. •
