Dr. Sherrill Evans Selected iECCC AND Instructor

former instructor tor the Meridian Public and Lauderdale County School systems. She received her associate in arts degree as well as the associate degree in nursing from Meridian Community College. Dr. Evans is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she received her bachelor's degree in mathematics and elementary education, her master's degree in reading, the educational specialist degree in elementary education and the master of science degree in nursing. A graduate of Mississippi State University, Dr. Evans obtained the doctora te degree in secondary education and the educational specialist degree in counselor education. She later completed post-graduate certification as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Evans has four children. Devonna is a graphic artist with Mississippi Educational Television. Marcus is attending the Mississippi College School of Law. Robert is \a sophomore at ECCC. Kimberly is a tenth– grader at Northwest Rankin Attendance Center.

Evans of randon was r~cently selected Associate Degree Nursing instructor at East Central Commwtity College in Decatur. Prior to joining the ECCC staff, E,·ans was an assistant profesc;or at the University of l'vlississippi Medical Center School of Nursing. She is a former stroke/gerontology nurse educator for Rush Foundation Hospital m Meridian. She has also held positions en the nursing staffs of Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, East Mississippi State Hospital, Riley Memorial hospital and Laurel wood Psychiatric Center m Meridian . Dr. Evans has held instructor positions with East Mississippi Community College and the Univers1ty of West Alabama (formerly Livingston University). She is a former adjunct instructor for the Universi ty of Southern Mississippi. She is also a
