( Summitt Delegates.....

At the Summit for Mississippi's Future, held ~O\ ember 4-5 in Jackson, delegates developed action plans to provide area young people with fh e fundamenfal resources-- a caring adult, safe places and structured after-school actiYities, a healthy start, a marketable skill and an opportunity to serve their community. Their plans are part of a three-year statewide effort to provide resources to an additional 20,000 children. Local Summit delegates included (left to right): Robert Blount, Marie G. Hinson, Walter Gardner, Billy Pierce, Marci Hollingsworth, Dr. Phil Sutphin, Newton County Delegation.
