ECCC splits pair at Bishop State The East Central Community College . Lady Warriors began the Thanksgiving holi– day on a happy note as the Sammy Pace– coached squad edged Bishop State Community College of Mobile, Ala., by a 72- 68 margin on Nov. 2':1.. With the win, the ECCC women improved to 7-1

East Central's men were not as fortunate on the road trip, as Jay Bowen's Warriors were outscored 85-70. The loss gives the Warriors a 6-2 mark on the young season. Leading the offensive attack for the Lady Warriors was Wendy Mapp of Newton County who had 21 points. Other scorers were Charissa Williams of Houma, La.,16; Sharae Brown of Scott Central, 13; Krystal Courtney of Holden, La., 11; Sonya Pinkston of Forest, five; and Ellake Murray of Scott Central and Denise Chapman of Newton, three each. East Central led 28-27 at halftime. Keith Bell of Choctaw Central and Ken Russell of Newton County led the Warriors in scoring with 15 points each.
