Community College standout Melody Reed has signed a national letter of intent to play baskeiba11 at the University of Southern Mississippi. The signing of Reed, a 5-foot-11 for– ward from Forest, was announced Monday by Southern Miss women's bas– ketbal1 coach Kay J ames. Reed averaged 22.4 points and 16.2 rebounds per game this past season at East Central for Coach Sammy Pace and led the nation in rebounding.
