Sophomore Karen McRae of Carthage ha s been selected 1996 Homecoming Queen at East Central Communi ty Col– lege and will be crowned by Col– lege Presi dent Dr. Edd ie M. Smith during halftime cere– monies at the ECCC-Hinds Community College footba lJ game on Saturday, October 12, in Decatur with kick off set for 2:30 p.m. in Warrior Stadium. McRae is an accounting major from Carthage High School. At East Central, she is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, serving as project chairman; Phi Theta Kappa, serving as historian ; and the Diamond Girls. She is also a member of the Centralettes, the danceline for the Warrior Marching Band, and was selected a freshman class favorite. She is the daugh– ter of James and Gloria McRae.
