Area students attend ECCC orientation

Several area students attended orientation activities held June 8 at East Central Community College in Decatur. During orientation, students register for fall classes, reserve dormitory space and learn about the many academic, personal and social opportunities awaiting them at East Central. Also, a compli– mentary meal is provided for stu– dents and parents in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria. ECCCorientation. scheduled July 3 A second orientation session for students who plan to attend East Central Community College this fall will be held Wednesday, July 3, on the Decatur campus. Registration begins at 8 a.m., in the Ovid S. Vickers Fine Arts Center. A record 281 students advance registered for fall classes by attend– ing orientation activities held earli– er on June 8. During orientation, students also have an opportunity to reserve dor– mitory space, take the American College Test and required place– ment exams, and learn of the wide variety of academic, social and per– sonal opportunities available at East Central. Additional orientation sessions are scheduled Thursday, July 18 and Saturday, August 10.
