ECCC STUDENTS JOB SHADOW AT LAIRD HOSPITAL- Laud Hospital in Union is aiding East Central Community College in Decatur with a new program called job shadowing. Students enrolled in English classes are experiencing a new kind of research to better prepare them for their career choices. Foregoing the tradi– tional research paper, Virginia Pace, English instructor, is sending her students on job shadowing experiences for researech. ''This pro– ject allows students to be exposed to realistic viewpoints relating to their carer choices, and area employers like Laud Hospital have had a positive response," Pace said.
