Joins ECCC Board...Billy Pierce (center) of Decatur, Newton County Superintendent of Education, was recent– APPJ ly welcomed as a new member of the East Central Community College Board of Trustees. Pierce, a former CP. Decatur High School principal, has over 20 years experi– NI ence in the field of public education. He also owns a deco– NI rated military career, having served over 27 years in the CL Army National Guard. He currently serves as Battery Commander of the 1-204 Air Defense Artillery and holds the rank of lieutenant colonel. The new trustee is shown with Board Chairman Prentice Copeland (left) of Philadelphia and ECCC President Dr. Eddie M. Smith.
