Meanwhile, the football program at East Mississippi contmue::. to be on one of the best kept secrets in the state. Coach Tom Goode, his staff, and 14 members of the 1996 8-3 Lions led the North to a 21-11 vic– tory over the South in the Junior College All-Star game. In the past four years, more than 80 of East Mississippi' football players have signed with four-year colleges, and it looks like this year's class of sophomores will con– tinue the tradition. .
