ECCC ~Media Day' Scheduled August 19

The 1996 version of East Cen– tral Community College football will be revealed during "Media Day'' activities scheduled Mon– day, Augsut 19, on the Decatur campus. Activities begin at 3 p.m. in Warrior Stadium. East Central begins the new campaign traveling to Holmes Community College on Thurs– day, September 5. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on the Goodman campus. The Warriors return to cam– pus the following week and will face Northeast Mississippi Com– munity College at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Septen·.ber U.

East Central is led by second– year head mentor Willie Coats, who also serves as offensive coordinator and coaches quarter– backs and running backs. Assistant football coaches are Terry Underwood (defensive coordinatori linebackers), Timmy Coats (defensive backs), Fredrick Lyons (defensive line– men), Jon Williams (offensive lineman) and Juan Beckeum (tight ends, wide receivers). All Warrior football games ate broadcast over WSSI-FM (98.3) in Carthage and WMYQ-FM (97.9) in Newton featuring vet– eran sportscaster Mike Goodwin.
