Martha McElbenne~ of Decatur was recently named first-year Associate Degree Nursang instructor at East Central Communitv CoUege. announced Dr. £ddie ~t. Smith, College President. McElhenney, who began her new duties on Augu~ 1. 1996, previouslr served as Director of Nursmg Extended Care Unit Supervisor at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage. She is also a fonner staff nurse at Newton Re~ional Hospital and was prev1ously employed as Director of Nursing at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia. McEihenney bas a total of 30 years experience in nurs– ing, including .four ye~rs teaching expenence w1th Matty Hersee School of Nursmg in Meri.dian, .and ei~bt Jears expenence 10; a chnic setting as a nursmg supervisor. She is a graduate of Meridian Junior College, Matty Hersee School of Nursmg, the University of Southern Mississi~Jpi, .where she received a bachelor's de~ree in nursing; and the Mississippi University of Women where she earned a ' . . master's degree m nursmg. She is married to Jimmy D. McElbenney, Sr., who is retired, and they have four children: Nicky Sharp, Angie

Rosemary S. Adcock of Decatur was recently named pecial Populations (Math· ematicsr instructor at East Central Community College, announced Dr. Eddie M. mitll. College President. Adcock. who began her ne" duties on August 1, 1996, pre' iously served as mathe– matics instructor at Cartha~e Junior High School. She IS also a fonner math instructor at Louisville High School. In addition. she bas served as an adjunct faculty member at East Central. A graduate of Yazoo City High School, Adcock holds a bachelor's de~e in mathe– matics education and food~ and nutrition from Mississippi State University. She is married to John Adcock, ECCC D~strict Director of Vocational: Technical Instruction. They have one daughter, Vicki, a 1995 ECCC honor graduate and Hall of Fame member, who is currently a junior at Delta State University.
