Approximately 80 area teach– ers attended a Tech Prep Folios– up training recent1y held on the East Central Community College campus in Decatur. Maudean Sanders, ECCC Tech Prep Coordinator, said the pur– pose of the traii\ing "was to insure successfut implementa– tion of the Tech Prep initiative in the East Central Community College consortium." Dr. Eddie M. Smith, ECCC President, welcomed the group to campus. The general session, which was held in the Associate Degree Nursing/Child Care Technology Building, featured Ovid Vickers as the main speaker. Vickers, longtime Engl– ish insturctor at ECCC, spoke on ''Teaching, Learning and Extra– curricularActivities."
