RAY ADDRESS ECCC WORKFORCE COUNOL- Dr. Olon Ray, executive director of·:J:he Miss. State Board of Community and Junior Colleges, presented an update on the Board's reorganization efforts to members of the East Central Community College District Workforce Council at its quarterly meeting recently held on the Decatur campus. He also asked council members to support legislative funding requests for workforce education and training. Others providing remarks or presenting reports included Curt Thompson, a representative of the Miss. Employment Security Commission; Earl Marshall, Career Center Team Leader, who discussed activities of the Career Center staff and monthly training projects; Dr. Eddie M. Smith, college president; Dr. Phil Sutphin, dean of instruction; Karl Brantley of Philadelphia, plant manager of U.S. Electrical Motors and Workforce Council chairman; and Maudean Sanders, ECCC Tech-Prep ~oordinator. Additional reports on industry/business activities in the ECCC district were given by representatives of each of the five counties. (EC Photo)
