DR. PHIL SUTPHIN 1 dean of instruction at East Central Com– munity College in Decatur, was presented a Distinguished Ser– vice Award at the Southeast/ South Regional Conference of the Association of Academic Affairs Administrators held recently in Montgomery, Ala. The theme of this year's confe;. ence was Managing Education Institutions on the Brink of the 21st Century. Members of the Association include various administive and faculty rep– resentatives from universities, four-year colleg es and community/junior colleges located throughout the South– easternpart of the United States.
