The Warriors used seven different hurlers as they fell to Northeast 10-3 in the sec– ond game of a double header. East Central fell 4-2 in the earlier ball game. While the Warriors had their share of problems on the mound in the second game, Northeast pitcher Brian Reid had none, as h e carried a no-hitter into t h e seventh inning. "We've been playing well d , as the week progresse , Northeast coach Ray Scott said. "We knew if we kept plu g– ging something good would happen." It did.

The Tigers went from an 0-8 start to a two-game win– ning streak, with a record of 2-8. "(Reid) sure shut us down," East Central coach Jamie Clark said. "But we have no excuses, what hap– pens happens. "We'll show up tomorrow and play, we won't panic, we'll bounce back." The Warriors fell to 4-3 and host Itawamba today at 1 p.m. The second game was scoreless until the top of the third inning, wh en Northeast's Glenn Tapp got on base with a sin gle and was brought home on an East Central overthrow to first base. Neither team scored in the fourth and fifth innings but Northeast came alive in the sixth scoring six runs off of three' different Warrior pitch– ers. The Tigers added three more runs in the top of the seventh. The lone bright spot for East Central was breaking up Reid's no hitter, as the Warriors scored three runs on two hits. See ECCC, Page 38

The Warriors got on the board in the third when RH~ky John was brought home on smgle.
