STATE CONTEST WINNERS - These surglal technology students. at East Central Community College received various honors following participation in the annual Health Occupation Students of Amrlca (HOSA) State Lude.nhip Con.feftnce held in Jackson. Award winners included (suted &om left) Denise Mabry and Leanne Thomas, both of Meridian; and (standing &om left) Ella Crocker of Phlladelp~ Rowena Davb of Montrose, James Johnson of Lena and Pam ~miley of Newton. Mabry, Crocker, Davis and Johnson flnishd in the top 70 percent of students who took the National Health Care Issues exam; Thomas placed third in the outstanding HOSA Chapter oompetition; and Smiley won third place honors in the surgial tledutology skills oompetition.
