Receive Art Awards.. . s hown displaying their award-winning artwork are East Cen– tral Community College students Jason Jackson (left) of Conehatta and Missouri Ferguson (right) of Philadelphia who recently competed in the annual Mississippi Community College Art Com– petition held at Meridian Community College. Both tudents received honorable mention in their respective categories. Jackson's entry was a charcoal drawing entitled " Case of the Missing Shoe" and Ferguson submitted a two-dimensional design named " Ghostl) Image." J ackson, a freshman I beral arts major, is a graduate of Newton Count) High chool and Ferguson, a freshman art major, is a product of Choctaw Central. Both are students of ECCC art instructor Bruce Guraedy who is pictured with the talented young artists. (EC Ph01o)
