Smith, College president; V.C. Manning of Philadelphia, chairman of the College's board of trustees; Jerry K. Moore of Carthage, Board vice chairman; Sandra Amis of Conehatta, Board secretary; Nancy Harris, director of the associate degree nursing program; and Gloria Rigdon of Decatur, ADN student recently selected to the Mississippi Student Nurses Hall of Fame. The 1.6 million dollar structure will contain 21 ,165 square feet and will be built on the old band practice field, across the street from Scott Hall. It will house the asso– ciate degree nursing and child care technology programs, with a proposed second module scheduled for construction at a later date to include the College's licensed practical nursing and surgical technology programs, currently housed at separate campus locations. Construction for the Allied Health/Child Care Facility is funded through state board funds, with no indebtedness incurred by the College or to the five support counties. Completion of the project is scheduled for spring, 1996. (EC Photo}
