ECCC Plans Open House for One-Stop Career Center

Ribbon-cutting and open house activities are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 1995, for the new Slcill/fech One-Stop Career Center at East Centtal Community College in Decatur. Remarks to officially dedicate the facility, which is located adjacent to the Bradford J. Tucker Applied Technology Center, will be made by ECCC Board of Trustees ChaiJ11lan V. C. Manning ofPhiladelphia, Col– lege President Dr. Eddie M. Smith and Bob Beckley, plant manager of ' ESCO Corporation in Newton who serves as chainnan of the ECCC Workforce Council. Refreshments will also be served. The mission of the Career Center is to provide business and industry the education, training, placement, assessment and consultation to improve the quality of the workforce in the College's five-county district.
