Vickers and colleague Dr. Ethridge maugurated the Honors Program in English and History at East Central tO offer advanced instruction to excep– tionally bright students. He and Dr. Ethridge, after extensive preparation at the Phi Theta Kappa Leadership Institute in Airlie, Va, began the PTK Leadership Program which is funded by the W.K Kellogg Foundation to offer leadership instruction to citizens
