EC improved to 4-1 in the division a nd 12-3 overall. Jones fell to 2-3 and 11-6. Melody Reed led EC with 16 points. Monica Davis scored 14, J .J . Moorehead 11, Wilma Cooksey seven, Cyntia Ellis five, while Jen– nifer Alexander and LaDonna Robinson both had four. Kanesha Lampley led Jones with 25. Jones led by 15 (54-39) at halftime before pulling away over the final20 minutes. EC got 26 points from Philip Prince, 16 each from Bobby Viverette a nd O.J . McNichols, nine from Jamie Suttles, and four from Darvis Rasberry. The Warriors fell to 0-5 in the South Division and 7-10 overall. J ones improved to 5-0 and 16-1. The Lady Warriors provided East Central Community College with its only win in last week's basketball action as they took a one-point road victory over Jones at Ellisville. The Lady Warriors brought a 12-3 record intoTuesday's South Division contest with Gulf Coast in Decatur. The Warriors were 0-2 last week and faced Gulf Coast with a 7-10 overall mark. HOLMES WOMEN 76, ECCC 69: Holmes rallied from a ~25 halftime deficit to take the Jan. 10 victory in Goodman. Monica Davis led the ll-3 Lady Warriors with 17 points. Melody Reed scored 12, LaDonna Robinson and Jennifer Alexander both had nine, Brandi Harber seven, while Dane Vance and Chasity Bounds both had six. Mahalia McDonald led 10-5 Holmes with 21 points, while Likeesha Roby tossed in 17. ECCC, which fell to 7-9, got 16 points from Alphonzo Norman. 10 from Darvis Rasberry, nine from O.J. McNichols, Philip Prince, and Vincent Spencer, six from Chris Hillie, and five from Jamie Suttles.
