In men's action, the Warriors lost another close matchup by falling 77-65 to the host Bears. Leake Academy product Philip P rince of Philadelphia scored 22 points to lead the Warriors, who dropped to 7-12 and 0-7 . Johnny Mays of Atlanta, Georgia, 7; O.J . McNichols of Union, 5; Darvis Rasberry of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 4; Jamie Suttles of Nox apater, 3; Alphonzo Norman of Newton and Eric Caples of South - Leake, 2 each; and Vincent Spencer of Neshoba Central, 1. Southwest led 41 -22 at halftime. In games played against visiting Gulf Coast Community College on January 17, the Lady Warriors cruised to an 82.(i() victory while the Warriors dropped an 82-77 decision. Robinson paced the Lady War– rior attack with 18 points. Also scoring were Harber, 14; Davis, 10; Reed, 9; Moorehead and Leake Academy product Kim Gentry, 6 each; Cooksey and Griffin, 4 each; Jennifer Alexander of Leake Academy, 3; and Neshoba Central product Christy Madison and Ellis, 2 each. EC led 37-27 at intermission. Prince was again the leading scorer for the Warriors, as he pumped in 33 points, including six three-pointers. GAMES THIS WEEK 1n games scheduled this week, East Central hosts Hinds Com– munity College on Thursday, January 26.
