ECCC WOMEN 75, SOUTHWEST 61: The Lady Warriors improved to 6-1 in the South Division and 14-3 overall with Thursday's victory at Summit. ~C held a 36-24 halftime ad– vantage. The Lady Warnors got 15 points each from Dane Vance and Monica Davis, 10 from Genia Griffin, nine from Brandi Harber, six each from J.J. M~rehead, Wilma Cooksey, and Melody Reed, and four each from Cyntia Ellis and LaDonna Robinson. Southwest fell to 1-6 in the division and 4-13 overall. The East Central Community Col– lege Lady Warriors went 2..() in last week's basketball action as they im– proved to 14-3. The Warriors lost both of their contests as they dipped to 7-12. ECCC WOMEN 82, GULF COAST 60: Adozen Lady Warriors scored in the Jan. 17 rout of Gulf Coast in Decatur. LaDonna Robinson led ECwith 18 points. Brandi Harber added 14, Monica Davis 10, Melody Reed nine, J .J. Moorehead and Kim Gentry both bad six, Dane Vance, Wilma Cooksey, and Genia Grifin eacb had four, and Jennifer Alexander added three. EC had a 37-'n halftime lead after scoring the first eight points of the contest. Quisha Herbert led Gulf Coast with 15. EC improved to 5·1 in the South Division and 13-3 overall. Gulf Coast fell to 1-5 and 6-12. EC's Philip Prince hit nine 3-pointers in last week's action to run his season total to 49. He totalled 55 points against Gulf Coast and Southwest. Philip Prince hit six 3-pointers to lead the Warriors with a game-high 33 pomts. !\-like Hurst scored 12, Johnny ~lays nine, Vincent Spencer eight, Alphonzo Norman six, Darvis Rasberry five. and O.J. McNichols four. Gulf Coast 13-3, 9-8> was led by Ira Newble's 21 pomts.
