Phllade1ph a H1gh School graduate Ty N~well (at center) recently signed a tennis scholarship at East Central Com· munity College. At left is ECCC tennis coach Joe Clark, while Nowell's parents, Sam and June, are also shown. Sam played basketball for Clark at then ECJC in the 1967-68 and 1968·99 seasons and became a first-team all-state performer. Ty s s1gning marked the first t1me Clark has s1gned a parent and his/her child to an athletic scholarship. Ty will also serve as a manager for the men's basketball team.
