Scholarship for leadership created at East Central CC A leadership scholarship has

been established at East Cen– tral Community College by Leon Eubanks of Hattiesburg, a formt'r faculty member. The :-cholarship will be awarded each yea r to the col– lege's ~tudcnt body president. The ~cholarship was estab– lished with a $10,000 gift from Eubanks to the school. The award will be called the Leon Eubanks Kaljyc-Peers Leader– sh ip Award. Eubanks taught English a t ECCC from 1934-43 and also served as public relations offi- . cer, assistant dean of men and dean of men during Ius time at t he Decatur school. He also t aught at t he University of Sout~ern Mississipp_i. __

• Tlle nex t n ome game for East Central Community Col– lege basketball teams will be Nov. 29 when Southwest comes to visit in a Sout h Division game. After that the team is on t he road unti l enterta ining Pearl River on Dec. 8. The Warriors will then take their Christmas vacation until the· start of the exciting ECCC tournament Jan. 6 at home.
