EC homecoming events planned The East Central Community Col– lege homecoming golf tournament is s et for Oct. 14 at Decatur Country Club. Tee time is 4:30p.m. There is no cha rge to participate. The homecoming tennis tourna– ment is s lated for Oct. 10-14. All matches will be held during evening hours on the school's tennis courts. Competition includes women's and men's s ingles and doubles divisions plus a special divi– sion for athletes over age 35. Par– ticipants may enter only one area of competition. Entry fee is a new can of tennis balls which should be furnished prior to the start of each match. Deadline to enter is noon Oct. 5. Participants in either sport must be a current or former EC student. Winners will be recognized and presented trophies during the alum– ECCC to offer computer courses East Central Community College has announced plans to offer t\'.'o computer courses for non-credit over a six-week period on the Decatur campus. Beginning Lotus will meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, and continue on successive Mondays through Nov. 14. Classes will be held in the Bradford J . Tucker Applied Technology Center. A beginning WordPerfect course s tarts Thursday, Oct. 13, and con– tinues each Thursday through Nov. 17. Classes are scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in Cross Hall. Serving as instructor for both classes is Thomas For tenberry, the college's computer analyst/pro– grammer. Cost for each course is S35 per student.
