Union Students Visit ECCC Junior hi;;b tudents from Union Public Schools received an early dose of college life by recent– ~~ 'wting Ea:>t Central Community College as an activity of the Educational Talent Search. E'T~ is a !ederal program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, sponsored by the Missi-.~ippi tate Department of Educa tion, and facilitated by the Newton Municipal School D1 trict. Tbe unique program also provides free educational guidance services that encourage ~condar, completion and post-secondary enrollment. In addition, ET counselors conduct mou, ational h ions designed to encourage students to complete high school, choose a college and enroll in a po~t-secondary institution. Serving as ETS counselors for this area are Terrie harp and ~elda Germany of Newton Municipal Schools.
