Scholarship at ECCC honors Lavern Vowell·

High school seniors who plan to enroll at East Central Community College next school years may be eligible for a scholarship established last year in memory of businessman Lavern Vowell. The scholarship was established in 1993 by Elizabeth, E. L. and David Vowell to honor their husband and father Lavern Vowell. T he scholarship is to be awarded each year to an emering freshman

at ECCC and will cpv~r the cost or tuition for two semesters. Applicants must intend to major in some field of business administration, have need for financial assistance and have demonstrated potential for academic success. High school guidance offi~~s have information on applying for the Vowell Scholarship.
