ECCC STUDENT, INSTRUCTOR HONORED • Receiving special recognition by the Mississippi Legislature during the annual HEADWAE (Higher Education Appreciation Day • Working for Academic Excellence) was East Central Community College sophomore Cindy Callahan (seated center) of Forest and biological sciences Instructor Ron Davis (standing at left} of Decatur, selected East central's outstanding student and Instructor, respectively, for 1993·94. Callahan, amath major and President's List scholar, Is seated next to her parents, Patty and Leroy Callahan of Forest. Cln· dy Is a graduate of Scott central High School. Davis, a former ECCC academic Instructor of the Year, has served seven years on the East Central staff. Standing next to Davis are Representatives R.L. "Dick" Livingston of Pulaski and Raymond Commans of Decatur. The ECCC honorees were recognized along with other representatives of the state's public and private colleges and universi– ties at a special luncheon hosted by state lawmakers. (EC Photo}
